The biggest part of our journey has been faith. Below are some of our daily prayers that have given us courage, strength, and peace throughout this process.
Prayer to St Joseph
Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my Thanksgiving and Homage to the most Loving of Fathers. Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, Pray for us. Amen.
This prayer was found in the fifteenth year of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Say for nine mornings for anything you may desire.
The Memorare to Our Lady
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen
Prayer to St. Peregrine
St. Peregrine, whom Holy Mother Church has declared Patron of those suffering from Cancer, I confidently turn to you for help in my present sickness. I beg your kind intercession. Ask God to relieve me of this sickness, if it be his Holy Will. Plead with the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of Sorrows, whom you loved so tenderly and in union with whom you have suffered the pains of Cancer, that she may help me with her powerful prayers and loving consolation.
But if it should be God’s Holy Will that I bear this sickness, obtain for me courage and strength to accept these trials from the loving hand of God with patience and resignation, because he knows what is best for the salvation of my soul. St. Peregrine, be my friend and patron. Help me to imitate you in accepting suffering, and to unite myself with Jesus Crucified and the Mother of Sorrows, as you did. I offer my pains to God with all the love of my heart, for his glory and the salvation of souls, especially my own. Amen.
Miraculous Medal
The Miraculous Medal is a sacramental that has held a special place in the heart of many Catholics since 1830 when the Blessed Mother appeared to St. Catherine and asked for her to create it.
“Have a medal struck upon this model. Those who wear it will receive great graces, especially if they wear it around the neck. Those who repeat this prayer with devotion will be, in a special manner, under the protection of the Mother of God. Graces will be abundantly bestowed upon those who have confidence.”
– The Blessed Mother to St. Catherine
The Catholic Church approved this apparition and began making the medal in 1832. Since that time, many Catholics have reported miracles as a result of wearing the Miraculous Medal.
Green Scapular
The Green Scapular is known for obtaining many miraculous conversions and cures. It consists in a single green string attached to a green cloth with a picture of the Blessed Virgin Mary on one side and a picture of Her Immaculate Heart on the other side. The words around Her Immaculate Heart read: “Immaculate Heart of Mary pray for us now and at the hour of our death.”
