My father was diagnosed with aggressive Stage IV Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) in November of 2003. His cancer returned in April 2021 after being dormant for 18 years. The prognosis for refractory DLBCL is poor and any oncologist will tell you that your options are limited. While we are so grateful to his doctors for their care and for their heartfelt recommendations, we also believe in thinking for ourselves.
The purpose of this blog is to take you on our unconventional journey. There is limited data available for people with blood cancers who have taken an alternative approach to treatment. We are not anti-chemotherapy. In fact, my father had eight rounds of RCHOP in 2004 and four rounds of RICE in 2021/2022. However, while we believe that chemotherapy may help treat symptoms, it’s also toxic and comes with a host of other side effects including the potential of other cancers. This is why we have decided to go against doctor recommendations for an autologous stem-cell transplant and instead opt for unconventional alternative options.
On our journey, we will be exploring re-purposed low-toxicity drugs, as well as supplements, and potentially enzymes, that when taken together, have killed the toughest of cancers. We hope our story helps to provide other people with more information and more importantly with hope.
Please note, I am not a doctor, nor do I have a medical background. I am not offering any medical advice or prescribing any medication or supplements. I’m also not benefiting in any way by sharing this information. My desire to do so is purely to share our journey should it be helpful to others.
